About Mineset Mental Health

Your mind, your rules.

A Redondo Beach therapy practice focused on helping clients reconnect with what is already there and move through life with more curiosity, compassion, and choice.

Philosophy

Make Life Sing.

A friend of mine who has a gift for interior design once walked into a room, looked around, and said, “I can make this room sing.”

That phrase stayed with me.

She did not mean the room was broken. She meant there was possibility there — something beautiful, meaningful, and alive that could be brought forward with care, attention, and the right support.

Therapy can be framed similarly: not changing someone into someone else, but helping them reconnect with what is already there.

At Mineset Mental Health, the goal is not to “fix” people. The goal is to help people reconnect with what is already there — their strengths, emotions, values, and inner wisdom — while also understanding how their experiences have shaped where they are and the direction they are moving. From there, therapy can help those parts work together in a way that nurtures the life they want to build.

In other words, we can make life sing.

Mental Health

What Is Mental Health?

Mental health is more than feeling good enough, functioning well enough, or moving through life without falling apart. Mental health is about understanding and reshaping the way you relate to yourself — not as your harshest critic, but as someone worth listening to, understanding, and caring for.

It includes honoring the experiences that have shaped you, not necessarily approving of them, but acknowledging that what you have lived through has had an impact on you.

At Mineset Mental Health, we believe mental health is not about becoming perfectly calm, happy, or unaffected by life. It is about listening to yourself with curiosity and compassion so you can respond to life in ways that feel more honest, intentional, and true to who you are.

Mental health is not about becoming someone else.

It is about becoming more connected to yourself, more compassionate toward yourself, and more capable of moving through life as who you are.

Next Step

You Don’t Have to Know Yet.

If you are reading this and thinking, “Okay, where do I sign up?” — this is a good place to start.

You do not need to know exactly what to say. You do not need to have the perfect explanation for what you are feeling. A consultation is just a conversation. We will chat, you can ask questions, and together we can see whether Mineset Mental Health feels like a good match.

You can start exactly where you are.

Specialty

Therapy for anxiety and stress.

Support for clients who feel tense, worried, on edge, overloaded, or like their mind will not turn off.

What this can feel like

When anxiety starts taking up too much room

Anxiety and stress can show up as racing thoughts, constant worry, irritability, trouble sleeping, avoidance, tension in the body, or feeling like you have to stay in control all the time.

Therapy can help you slow things down, understand what your anxiety is trying to protect, and build tools that make life feel more manageable.

  • Racing thoughts
  • Stress overload
  • Avoidance
  • Sleep disruption
  • Body tension
  • Pressure to stay in control
Approach

A practical and compassionate way forward

The goal is not to shame anxiety away. The goal is to understand it, learn from it, and practice new responses so anxiety no longer has to run the whole show.

Specialty

Support for panic attacks and panic episodes.

Therapy for clients who experience sudden waves of fear, body alarm, or episodes that feel hard to control.

What this can feel like

Panic can feel scary, confusing, and exhausting

Panic may show up as a racing heart, shortness of breath, dizziness, shaking, chest tightness, fear of losing control, or fear that something is seriously wrong.

Even when panic is not dangerous, it can feel very real in the moment. Therapy can help you understand what is happening in the body and learn ways to move through panic with more confidence.

  • Racing heart
  • Shortness of breath
  • Fear of losing control
  • Avoiding places or situations
  • Feeling unsafe in your own body
Approach

Learning to respond instead of fear the symptoms

Panic work often includes education, grounding tools, nervous system skills, and exploring patterns that may be keeping the fear cycle going.

Specialty

Support for self-injurious behavior.

A compassionate space to understand self-injury, reduce shame, and build safer ways to cope with overwhelming emotions.

Important note

You deserve support without shame

Self-injurious behavior can be difficult to talk about, especially when shame, fear, or judgment have been part of the experience.

Therapy can create space to understand what the behavior has been helping you survive, while building safer tools for distress, communication, and emotional regulation.

  • Reducing shame
  • Safety planning
  • Distress tolerance
  • Emotional regulation
  • Communication tools
Crisis support

For immediate danger

This website is not for emergencies. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, call 988, call 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.

Specialty

Therapy for feeling stuck, frozen, or shut down.

Support for times when you know something needs to change, but your mind or body feels unable to move forward.

What this can feel like

Sometimes the hardest part is getting unstuck

Feeling stuck can look like avoidance, numbness, indecision, low motivation, emotional shutdown, or knowing what you want to do but feeling unable to start.

Therapy can help you understand what is keeping you frozen and create small, realistic steps toward movement.

  • Numbness
  • Avoidance
  • Indecision
  • Shutdown
  • Low motivation
  • Difficulty starting
Approach

Small steps still count

The work is not about forcing yourself forward. It is about understanding the stuck place, reducing pressure, and finding a pace that feels possible.

Specialty

Support for overwhelm and emotional shutdown.

Therapy for clients who feel flooded, overloaded, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves.

What this can feel like

When everything feels like too much

Overwhelm can make everyday tasks feel impossible. Shutdown can make it hard to feel, speak, decide, or connect.

Therapy can help you notice early warning signs, understand your nervous system, and build tools that support regulation before things become too much.

  • Feeling flooded
  • Emotional exhaustion
  • Numbness
  • Difficulty communicating
  • Needing to withdraw
  • Trouble making decisions
Approach

Building a gentler relationship with your limits

This work can include grounding skills, boundaries, emotional awareness, self-compassion, and strategies for recovering after high-stress moments.

Specialty

Therapy for emotional wellness and self-understanding.

Support for clients who want to better understand themselves, their emotions, and the patterns shaping their lives.

Beyond illness

Mental health is more than mental illness

Therapy does not have to begin only when everything falls apart. It can also be a place for reflection, growth, support, and learning how to be more fully yourself.

Emotional wellness work may focus on self-understanding, relationships, boundaries, identity, confidence, and building a life that feels more aligned.

  • Self-understanding
  • Confidence
  • Boundaries
  • Relationships
  • Identity
  • Personal growth
Approach

Being you is worth protecting

This work is grounded in the idea that emotions are information, not enemies. Therapy can help you listen to yourself with more clarity and compassion.
